Meet the Teacher

Hey everyone, and welcome to my page! I am Leporsha Arvie a 5th Grade ELA teacher in Monroe, LA. I have been teaching for two years. I am originally from Lake Charles, LA but I relocated to Monroe to attend The University of Louisiana at Monroe. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from ULM in 2023. I will graduate with my Master of Education in May 2026.

I thrive in a classroom setting, and I enjoy the art of preparing the future generation of leaders. Each day, I work my hardest to give my students the tools they need to succeed and let them know they can accomplish anything!

Outside the classroom, I am also a loving wife and dedicated mom of two beautiful children, Samuel and Heaven.

My Teaching, Learning, and Technology statement

Teaching, learning, and technology are strongly interconnected, with each shaping and enhancing the others. Effective teaching involves the intentional use of technology as a tool to support diverse learning needs, increase engagement, and provide access to meaningful content that helps students develop essential life skills. When thoughtfully integrated, technology can make learning more personal and interactive, allowing students to construct their own knowledge through exploration, collaboration, and critical thinking. This interconnected approach promotes student voice, choice, and agency, creating a more learner-centered environment that prepares students for real-world success.
